ROUTE

one

From Oxted Station to Botley Hill Farmhouse via the Titsey Estate. Easy to moderate. Approximately 2.5 miles

Exit Oxted Station onto Station Road East, then turn left to follow Station Road East passing Waitrose on your left.

At the roundabout, turn right onto Bluehouse Lane and follow the road for 3/4 mile, passing the barn Theatre and Oxted School on your left.

Shortly after the school, take a left along Park Road. Follow this to the sharp bend then take the public footpath which goes straight on (leaving Park Road).

Follow the footpath until you come to a large field (which can be quite muddy) and head for the top left hand corner where there is a footbridge across the M25. Cross the bridge then follow the left hand field edge until you come to the top of the field. There is a footpath about 50m from the stile in the corner (it goes through a gap in the hedge). Don't go over the stile - take the footpath.

You are now on one of the Titsey Estate walks. Follow the red arrows up through the woods on a path which has wooden handrails on both sides. You will come out on a woodland path; following the red arrows, take the left hand fork. Continue along, admiring the beautiful views and stopping at the viewpoint!

When you arrive at a crossroads of tracks, turn left up the hill (Pitchfont Lane although it is not much of a lane) for about 1/4 mile through woodland.

At the top of Pitchfont Lane, turn left out of the car park on to Limpsfield Road and continue for about 1/4 mile until you reach Botley Hill Farmhouse on your left.
