Slightly longer route, on and off road. Approx 9 miles
Start at Botley Hill Farmhouse. Turn right onto the cycle path towards the mini roundabout, then at the end of the path turn right onto The Ridge.
Continue down The Ridge for 15-20 minutes until you come to a sharp bend to the right. This is where you should turn left down Gangers Hill.
After about 50 yards you will see a sharp bend to the right - at this point you are looking out for a car park on the right which is Marden Park Woodland Trust. Please give way to horses and people walking their dogs.
Continue through the car park and go straight ahead to the long path in front of you. After 5 minutes the path goes slightly uphill then drops down through the woods until you reach the bottom, where there will be a left turn towards a school or a right turn to continue the path.
Turn right and carry on down the path for about half a mile heading towards Woldingham Station. You will pass some barn conversions and old stables on your left, and then a sandy colour house on your right and animals on your left a few minutes later.
Follow the road around over the rail bridge and then take an immediate left turn.
After a few minutes you will arrive at Woldingham Station. Continue on to Woldingham Road straight ahead of you.
After a few minutes you will see Knights Garden Centre on your right. At this point you should hop on to the path because you need to turn right where the blue cycle sign is located. You will now head up a very short steep hill.
At the top of the hill you will see you are approaching a road which you need to cross over. There are two blue cycle signs, one pointing to the road and one towards the golf course. Turn right then take the small path which runs along side the golf course.
After 5 minutes you will see the golf course and club house on your right as you cross over the entrance and continue along the path for further 5 minutes. You should start to climb a very steep gravel hill.
At the top of the hill overlooking the golf course the path begins to drop down for few minutes. There is a small bungalow to your right with a wooden fence where the path splits to the right towards the road.
Head up this path and cross back over the road onto Butlers Dene Road and continue for 15 minutes to the end of the road.
Then cross over Slines Oak Road onto Southfields Road, passing some small stable blocks and houses. Keep heading straight on. As the road becomes narrower and climbs up again you should see a golf course on both sides of the path and eventually you will reach the top.
Turn left in to The Ridge and head back the same way you came. After about 15 minutes you should be approaching a junction where you should turn left.
After 200 yards you will see Botley Hill Farmhouse on your left.
Keep a look out for horses which you must give way to at any time!
