As many of you will hopefully know by now, we have a couple of gorgeous Shepherd Huts that are situated just down the road from Botley Hill Farmhouse at Broomlands Farm, near Oxted, and perfect for a countryside staycation in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
We have been delighted to welcome many couples seeking to escape from it all this year and recently we were visited by the editor of Surrey Life magazine, Rebecca Younger, who enjoyed a night in one of the huts with a meal at Botley Hill Farmhouse.
She wrote a lovely review that appeared over two pages in July's magazine, including a mention on the front cover, and here's a little snippet...
"With the sun down, twinkling fairy lights led the way to our hut, where we gathered around the fire pit to play cards and dominoes (found in a stash of games tucked above the bed) and reminisce over carefree childhood holidays when board games were enough to keep us entertained for an entire week."
If we didn't already know how lovely our shepherd huts, Dorothy and Clarice, are, then we'd have certainly been sold after reading that! You can now read the full Surrey Life review online, here.
If you are inspired to join us for a couple of nights, North Downs Shepherd Hut prices start from £114 per night per hut Monday to Thursday and £125 per night Friday to Sunday, including breakfast basket, wood for the burner and charcoal for the barbecue.
Whether you're looking to enjoy a couple of relaxed nights around a fire pit with a few games or looking to explore the Surrey Hill and North Downs Way on foot or by bike, our shepherd huts make for a perfectly tranquil getaway.
The shepherd huts are only a ten minute drive from Botley Hill Farmhouse, so you can easily combine your stay with an evening meal and a sunset tipple with our spectacular view too.
